About The Position
This Medical Assistant Apprentice program offers motivated candidates the opportunity to build skills, confidence, and hands-on experience needed to succeed in a dynamic clinical setting. This cohort-based training program brings participants together as a group to create a strong learning community. You’ll train alongside peers who share your goals, gaining valuable knowledge, real-world experience, and the support needed to grow into a successful Certified Medical Assistant. The program includes a structured training experience guided by experienced healthcare professionals, hands-on training in a supportive clinical environment, exposure to essential medical assistant skills, and ongoing coaching and mentorship. It offers a pathway to a meaningful healthcare career with growth opportunities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
- CCMA Board Certification within 12 months of completing the apprentice education program and meeting the on-the-job hours requirement.

Responsibilities
- Learn essential medical assistant skills, including patient care, clinical procedures, and administrative responsibilities.
- Complete Medcerts training program, advancing through learning modules.
- Acquire the skills to perform the Clinical Assistant position.
- Work in St. Mary's Clinic in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
- Fulfill a 1-year work commitment upon course completion.
