About The Position

Through our Medical Assistant Apprentice program, you will be hired to work in St. Mary's Clinic in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. We will pay for your education and certification as a Medical Assistant, putting you through a qualifying program with a partnering organization. This program comes with a 1-year work commitment upon course completion. This cohort-based training program brings participants together as a group to create a strong learning community. You’ll train alongside peers who share your goals, gaining valuable knowledge, real-world experience, and the support needed to grow into a successful Certified Medical Assistant. A structured training experience guided by experienced healthcare professionals. The opportunity to learn in a cohort beginning July 2026, building teamwork, accountability, and peer support. Hands-on training in a supportive clinical environment. Exposure to essential medical assistant skills, including patient care, clinical procedures, and administrative responsibilities. Ongoing coaching and mentorship throughout the program. A pathway to a meaningful healthcare career with growth opportunities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
• Will enroll in the Medcerts training program, advancing through learning modules and acquiring the skills to perform the Clinical Assistant position.
• Upon completion of the apprentice program, CCMA Board Certification is required within 12 months of completing the apprentice education program and meeting the on-the-job hours requirement.
