About The Position

Under the supervision of the Women’s Health Nurse Director and LVN Supervisor, and guided by the policies and procedures of Ambulatory Services, the Hospital Assistant III collaborates with Clinical Nursing Staff to assist in patient care delivery within Women’s Health clinics. This role involves performing a variety of personal care and clinical procedures to ensure positive care outcomes. The assistant will conduct assigned patient care and laboratory procedures to support patient care services within the practices. They are expected to learn and assist in clinical functions and procedures, adhering to the Telephone and House Standards adopted by the Medical Center. Additionally, they must demonstrate UCSF’s PRIDE values and AIDET communication fundamentals in all patient and stakeholder interactions.
