Medical Assistant 2 (Sumter County)
About The Position
This position will be based in Americus, GA and is Not a Remote position. You will support the Department by utilizing your expertise to fulfill the following responsibilities: Prepare exam room with the appropriate supplies needed prior to and after each patient exam. Assist in the clinic by taking and recording patients’ vital signs, height, and weight, collection of blood and/or other laboratory specimens. Perform routine quality controls on lab equipment and testing supplies. Maintain daily laboratory log and prepare specimens for shipping to laboratory. Pulls patient lab results daily and prepares them for the nurse to review.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university with one (1) year experience in a related field; or High School diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience in medical assisting; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower-level Medical Assistant 1 (HCT100) or position equivalent.
