About The Position

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced medical secretaries and administrative assistants with expertise in healthcare administrative support, medical office communication, appointment coordination, documentation workflows, patient-facing correspondence, and professional written deliverables. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on healthcare administrative task creation, domain-specific deliverable review, professional communication, peer feedback, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their medical office and administrative experience to create and review materials related to common requests within healthcare administrative settings.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience as a medical secretary, administrative assistant, healthcare administrative assistant, medical office coordinator, patient services coordinator, clinic administrator, or related role
  • Experience handling common healthcare administrative requests in a medical office, clinic, hospital, specialty practice, or healthcare support setting
  • Strong written communication skills with excellent grammar and spelling
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, patient communication, scheduling, records coordination, referrals, or healthcare documentation workflows
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow project instructions carefully
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, scheduling tools, medical records workflows, referral coordination, or patient communication platforms
  • Experience with insurance-related administrative requests, prior authorization support, billing coordination, or healthcare documentation review
  • Strong understanding of privacy-conscious communication and professional healthcare office standards
  • Experience creating templates, written responses, checklists, or administrative support materials
  • Availability for approximately 30 hours per week, with flexibility to scale up to 40 hours depending on project scope

Responsibilities

  • Create professional deliverables related to common medical secretary and administrative assistant requests
  • Draft or review materials involving appointment coordination, patient intake, referrals, records requests, provider communication, office correspondence, or healthcare administrative workflows
  • Apply practical healthcare office experience to ensure deliverables are clear, realistic, and professionally appropriate
  • Maintain strong attention to detail across written materials, templates, and structured responses
  • Review peer-developed deliverables for clarity, completeness, grammar, spelling, and professional tone
  • Identify areas where content can be improved for accuracy, usability, and healthcare administrative relevance
  • Provide clear written feedback that supports stronger deliverable quality
  • Apply consistent review standards across submitted materials
  • Use strong written communication skills to produce polished, well-structured outputs
  • Ensure materials are easy to understand, properly formatted, and suitable for healthcare administrative contexts
  • Apply discretion and professional judgment when working with healthcare-related scenarios
  • Support high-quality project execution through reliable, detail-oriented review work
