About The Position

This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department. The role provides administrative support to Medical Clinics, Ancillary Departments, and their managers and supervisors within the Student Health Center. Responsibilities include coordinating office operations, correspondence, reports, scheduling, and other administrative activities for the Medical Director and department leadership. The position requires handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion, diplomacy, and tact, and providing backup administrative support to the Office Manager and Administrative Services as needed. Professional communication with students, families, campus departments, UCOP, vendors, faculty, and staff is essential.

Requirements

  • Previous experience providing administrative support to management-level staff.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and customer service skills, including the ability to compose, edit, and proofread correspondence and reports.
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential information and applying office procedures and policies.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, frequent interruptions, and a fast-paced, changing work environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Must be able to provide proof of work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a healthcare, university, or similarly complex administrative environment.
  • Experience working with multiple departments and diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of University of California or higher education administrative practices.
