About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers with 17 locations across 7 states. They provide an evidence-based clinical curriculum and highly individualized care, offering programs including detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services. The specific role is at Avenues Recovery Center at Lake Ariel, a 40-bed residential facility situated on 5.19 acres in the Poconos mountains. This facility offers drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services, providing a supportive environment for clients. The dedicated staff, including therapists, clinicians, nurse practitioners, addictions counselors, and behavioral health technicians, ensure round-the-clock supervision and care, fostering a warm, accepting, and non-judgmental atmosphere for healing.
Requirements
- Must have high school diploma/ GED
- Must have valid driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year of industry related experience in a healthcare setting
- Basic understanding of medications
Responsibilities
- Provide quality, timely medical care to stabilize clients and enable them to engage fully in treatment
- Assist with all nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, medication administration, charting and reporting etc.)
- Collaborate with extended medical and clinical teams for seamless coordination of care
- Manage, order and res-stock all medical supplies as necessary
- Schedule medical appointments and arrange aftercare providers for post-discharge
- Assist with all pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations
- Handle pharmacy communications
