The primary purpose of this position is to provide system and policy training for eligibility staff to improve their effectiveness and productivity, fostering a motivated, skilled, and effective workforce to achieve organizational goals. This role involves training new and transitional employees, planning, organizing, and conducting in-service training with a specific focus on the NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NCFAST) system. The employee will act as a troubleshooter, analyzing program-wide problem areas and recommending corrective actions. A high level of program, procedural, and NC FAST System knowledge is required, equivalent to that of a line staff position across all eligibility programs and functions. The trainer will explain client status information in complex eligibility determination cases to lower-level staff and serve as an authorized county point-of-contact with the State NC FAST Help Desk. The training approach is multifaceted, including system demonstrations, ongoing communications, web-based training, classroom training, and online support resources like the NC FAST Learning Gateway, ensuring ample hands-on experience for staff. Additionally, the employee will oversee the NC FAST Worker Certification Program, including worker setup, guidance, report running, and sharing data and staff progress with supervisors and Program Administrators. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential, and the trainer must be available to staff during established hours. This role also includes performing other related duties as assigned.
