Medicaid Specialist
About The Position
Ghent Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Medicaid Specialist to support a resident- and family-focused community and help build facility culture. The role assists nursing facilities with Medicaid eligibility and application processing, works with state agencies to resolve applications, and serves as a subject matter expert on the Medicaid application process. The position also contributes ideas and improvements to healthcare systems and processes and supports the development of a successful management team. Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in one of the following: skilled nursing facility Medicaid billing and eligibility screening; social work with skilled nursing Medicaid eligibility processing; or another role serving as a skilled nursing Medicaid eligibility liaison with skilled nursing Medicaid eligibility processing experience.
- Must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.
Responsibilities
- Assist and guide nursing facilities with Medicaid applications for patients, including training, application processing, and onsite visits to nursing homes.
- Ensure Medicaid applications are filed accurately and on time for an assigned group of nursing facilities.
- Work with state agencies to resolve Medicaid applications.
- Assist with the disability application process.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the Medicaid application process.
- Develop and implement ideas and concepts to improve systems and processes and achieve superior results.
- Contribute to the development of a successful management team.
