About The Position

The main purpose of this full-time position will be to facilitate enrollments and reapplications for the Medicaid Insurance Program and Maryland Children's Health Program. This position will also support the Medicaid Insurance Programs by applying, interpreting, and processing program-specific information, policies, regulations and guidelines in a variety of activities. St. Mary's County Health Department is responsible for protecting and promoting the health of all St. Mary's County residents. Within the scope of its resources, the health department delivers a variety of services to our community, based on local health needs and federal, state, and county regulations. As the county's leader in public health, the agency is committed to ensuring that community members have access to personal and environmental health services and information.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Two years of clerical experience applying policies in a medical care, health insurance or federal or State entitlement program.
Current employee of the MDH St. Mary's County Health Department.
