About The Position
The Ohio Department of Medicaid is hiring a Medicaid Health Systems Specialist in the Office of Managed Care, Bureau of Member Services. The position is based at 50 West Town Street, Columbus, Ohio. The posting does not provide specific job duties. The role requires either a current Ohio registered nurse license with additional nursing experience for positions assessing clinical appropriateness of services or payment policies, or relevant undergraduate education and subject-area experience for other positions. Eligible State of Ohio employees receive a range of benefits, subject to eligibility requirements.
Requirements
- For positions assessing or reassessing clinical appropriateness of services, payment policies, or related Medicaid health services delivery issues: current and valid Ohio registered nurse license and an additional 24 months of nursing experience.
- For positions not requiring a registered nurse license: completion of an undergraduate core program in business administration, social or behavioral science, health, or statistics, plus an additional 24 months of experience specific to the subject area, including 12 months of experience using spreadsheet and database software.
- For positions not requiring a registered nurse license, 24 months of experience as a Medicaid Health Systems Analyst (65291) may substitute for the required experience, but not for mandated licensure.
- An equivalent of the stated minimum class qualifications may substitute for the required experience, but not for mandated licensure.
- Education and experience must be commensurate with the approved position description on file.
