About The Position

This position is remote and requires the associate to reside in Kansas. The hours of operation are 8 am – 7 pm CST, with 8-hour shifts. Possible shifts include 8:00am – 4:30pm, 8:30am – 5:00pm, 9:00am – 5:30pm, and 10:30am – 7:00pm. These shifts will be determined at the end of training based on business needs and are subject to change. Training is conducted remotely Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm for approximately 7 weeks. Training will be done remotely via video, and participants must have their cameras on. There is no time off allowed during the training period. Equipment will be provided, but associates must have a dedicated workspace free of interruptions and internet speeds of at least 10mbps upload and 50mbps download.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in customer service.
  • Internet Speed: upload 10 mbps download 50 mbps.
  • Must have a dedicated workspace free of interruptions.
  • Must have camera on during training.
  • Must reside in Kansas.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in Family Medical Medicaid eligibility.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and managed care programs.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English with the ability to speak and read both languages fluently.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to maneuver in complex software systems.
  • MS Office, Outlook, and Internet usage experience.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Customer orientated.
  • Ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling & punctuation.
  • Excellent data entry skills the ability to type 30 words per minute accurately.
  • Willingness to work part of a team.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all records and communications.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering thorough documentation and entering information into various systems.
  • Dedicated and trained specifically for supporting KDHE’s programs, systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Answering questions about the eligibility process and providing general program information for Family Medical and E&D/LTC Programs.
  • Responding to calls courteously, accurately, and concisely.
  • Providing high-quality customer service and focusing on the accuracy of information provided.
  • Evaluating information received through a phone contact, asking appropriate follow-up questions, soliciting additional information, and evaluating the potential impact of the information provided.
  • Using standard technology: telephones, e-mail, and web browsers.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulations, policies, and guidelines.
  • Completing all assigned training as necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.
