About The Position

We’re looking for a compassionate, energetic, and highly skilled Medic / EMT to join our team and help keep our guests and team members safe. In this role, you’ll provide emergency medical care throughout the park while working alongside a dynamic team of medical, safety, security, fire, and law-enforcement professionals. Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in health services.
  • Graduate of a state-accredited or recognized EMT/Paramedic program.
  • Current Florida EMT or Paramedic license/certification in good standing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other emergency and park personnel.
  • Candidates must be available to work at least 4 days per month during park operating hours.
  • Candidates must be available to work at least 2 weekend days per month.
  • Candidates must be available to work a total of 6 days per month.
  • Candidates must be available for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Follow all applicable laws, company policies, health and safety procedures, and safe working practices.
  • Only operate equipment for which you have been properly trained.
  • Promptly report incidents and cooperate with investigations when necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric, emergency room, or theme park medical experience.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid.
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS).
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
  • Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS).
  • Knowledge of OSHA, hazard communication, and safety training practices.
  • Registered Nurses and/or Licensed Practical Nurses must also maintain at least a current Florida EMT license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic life support, emergency medical care, examination, and screening to park guests and team members in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and Medical Director protocols.
  • Respond quickly and safely to medical emergencies throughout the park, including guest areas, back-of-house locations, and hotel facilities.
  • Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition.
  • Safely lift, move, restrain, and transport patients using stretchers and other medical equipment.
  • Operate medical carts to and from emergency and non-emergency scenes while maintaining the highest standards of safety.
  • Coordinate patient care with fire, police, security, and other emergency personnel.
  • Assist with ride evacuations and support the security team when necessary.
  • Administer or assist with urinalysis (UA) and audiometric testing.
  • Maintain accurate inventories of medical and health-services supplies.
  • Complete patient care records, workers’ compensation documentation, activity reports, and injury reports accurately, legibly, and on time.
  • Assist with facility inspections, safety audits, and other health and safety initiatives.
  • Stay current with medical practices, regulations, protocols, and industry knowledge through training, workshops, and professional development.
  • Protect patient privacy and confidential medical information at all times.
  • Perform all responsibilities in a safe, courteous, compassionate, and professional manner.

Benefits

  • Pay Range USD $19.00/Hr.
