About The Position

Buffalo Toronto Public Media is seeking a Broadcast Traffic Associate to provide administrative, scheduling, and data entry support for digital insertions, underwriting, and promotional announcements across all their platforms. This role is crucial for the accurate execution of traffic logs, digital sponsorship placements, contract fulfillment, and reporting activities, ensuring all deadlines and broadcast standards are met. The position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote and in-office tasks. The associate will be responsible for scheduling digital sponsor interstitials, verifying their performance, maintaining accurate sponsorship and scheduling records, performing quality-control reviews of digital placements, generating reports, and maintaining accurate digital and broadcast traffic records. Additionally, this role will serve as a backup for broadcast logs, both audio and video.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year of administrative support, scheduling, data-entry, media operations, or related experience preferred
  • Familiarity in broadcast traffic operations and software a plus
  • Willingness to learn and apply FCC regulations and best practices
  • Deadline-oriented; organized and able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or studies in media, broadcasting, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of administrative support, scheduling, data-entry, media operations, or related experience preferred
  • Familiarity in broadcast traffic operations and software a plus

Responsibilities

  • Schedule digital sponsor interstitials on all platforms as required (including outdoor pedestal, triton and web)
  • Verify the performance of interstitials
  • Assist with maintaining accurate sponsorship and scheduling records within traffic systems
  • Perform routine quality-control reviews of digital sponsorship placements and fulfillment
  • Generate routine reports and documentation as assigned
  • Maintain accurate digital and broadcast traffic records
  • Act as the backup person for all broadcast logs, both audio and video
