About The Position

Pali Adventures, Pali Institute, and Pali Retreat are seeking talented camera operators to produce high-quality digital marketing content. This on-site position involves serving as videographers, photographers, and editors, responsible for documenting guest experiences through the creation of approximately 3-5 weekly/bi-weekly videos and capturing photos. Team members will visit various activity sites to capture content of guests enjoying their activities and the camp experience. The gathered content will be edited into cohesive session, school, or souvenir videos before guest departure. Participation in marketing campaigns and content generation as requested is also required. Media team members are entrusted with the care and safety of young children in a rustic setting and must be able to respond immediately to emergencies.

Requirements

  • Experience in both photography and video capture.
  • Experience editing photo and video to a high technical standard in accordance with branding guidelines.
  • Exhibit characteristics of: Responsibility, dependability, leadership, patience, punctuality, hard work, sense of humor, self-control, integrity, common sense, good judgment and a positive enthusiastic attitude.
  • Must have completed high school and be a minimum 18 years of age or older.
  • The desire and ability to work with children.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience working in a Mac and Network Environment.
  • Photo and Video Capture Experience.
  • Photo and Video Editing Experience.
  • Davinci Resolve Studio (Required).
  • Ability to accept supervision and guidance.

Nice To Haves

  • Sony Camera Operation (Preferred)
  • Final Cut Pro X Experience (Optional)

Responsibilities

  • Document guest experiences by creating approximately 3-5 weekly and/or bi-weekly videos.
  • Capture photos of guests enjoying their activities and the camp experience.
  • Visit various activity sites when they are in operation to capture content.
  • Edit gathered content into one cohesive session video, school videos, or souvenir video prior to guest departure.
  • Participate in any and all marketing campaigns and generate content as requested.
  • Respond immediately to any emergency situation.
  • Film and photograph guests as they enjoy their scheduled activities.
  • Practice clean communication at all times.
  • Adhere to camp uniform policy.
  • Accept supervision and guidance.
  • Ensure complaints and concerns go up the chain of command.
  • Refrain from disparaging remarks about others.
  • Do not use objectionable language.
  • Be available and willing to participate in assigned activities with professionalism and enthusiasm during afternoon activities, evening activities, and general camp life.
  • Be flexible with scheduling.
  • Collaborate with other Team Members to ensure all required content is gathered each week.
  • Edit all content daily to produce a high-energy reel, highlighting key moments from the guest's week at camp.
  • Work as a member of a team.
  • Work to a tight schedule meeting all deadlines.
  • Work efficiently with Davinci Resolve and Adobe Lightroom.
  • Upload video and photos to the relevant hosting services.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Media.
  • Report to work during inclement weather, including snow conditions that require tire traction devices or snow chains.
