AlgaeCal is seeking a Media Team Leader to guide a team of editors, videographers, photographers, and creators. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing projects, improving processes, developing talent, and producing video content that captures attention, educates consumers, and drives sales, with a passion for direct-response videography. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in video editing and motion graphic animation.
  • 3+ years of experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Experience working with Frame.io, Studio Binder, and Miro.
  • Solid graphic design skills.
  • Knowledge of the latest AI tools for production enhancement.
  • Background in digital marketing & e-commerce, understanding video assets in sales letters, funnels, and paid media ads.
  • Solid grasp of budgeting and finance basics.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring every video asset resonates with our audience and drives sales.
  • Leading a growing team of 5 video editors, videographers, and media specialists.
  • Conducting regular team reviews, offering feedback and opportunities for growth, while ensuring every video tells a compelling story and exceeds our KPI’s.
  • Establishing measurable goals for the team, focusing on both short-term and long-term objectives that align with company vision.
  • Conducting performance reviews to track individual and team progress, providing constructive feedback and recognizing achievements.
  • Scheduling regular one-on-ones with each team member to discuss career goals, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
  • Overseeing the recruitment process to ensure new hires align with team values and creative direction, prioritizing skills, cultural fit, and diversity.
  • Staying on top of timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Designing split tests and analyzing performance metrics to continually improve video and graphic content.
  • Keeping up with industry trends and innovations to elevate content and capture attention.
  • Understanding customers and ensuring every piece of content delivers value and encourages repeat engagement.
