About The Position

The position is a Part-time (20 hours/week), 10-month role that is a member of the information technology department. The role manages livestream needs and provides audiovisual and technical support for school-wide events and programming. This vital role provides comprehensive technical assistance to students, teachers, and staff while also expertly managing all livestreaming and audiovisual (AV) needs for school-wide programming. This position will work across divisions and departments to support the audiovisual and technical needs of school-scheduled events. This is a 20-hour-per-week position working Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and evenings as required to support school programming and events.

Requirements

  • Experience working with different operating systems, including macOS, is essential for providing comprehensive support across various user environments.
  • The ability to act as a role model while engaging with a diverse student body and creating an inclusive environment is crucial for fostering a supportive and welcoming atmosphere for all users.
  • Combines deep cross-platform proficiency (OS, hardware, networking) with strong diagnostic skills and a persistent, critical-thinking approach to systematically resolve AV and streaming related technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including active listening, clear explanations of technical information, and thorough documentation.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction with empathy, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help, all while maintaining patience with users and collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently, allowing them to effectively juggle multiple tasks and deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution are key to managing workload effectively and providing realistic expectations to users.
  • Applicants must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation, ensuring that all necessary job functions can be carried out effectively.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, and move computers and peripherals for the majority of the workday.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, crawl under desks, and in confined spaces to install/uninstall and/or move equipment.
  • All employees must successfully maintain an acceptable Level II criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate of Arts degree in Technology is preferred, as it provides a strong theoretical foundation for understanding complex technical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide audio, projection, IT, lighting, and livestream support for guest speakers, professional development meetings, TEDx, Admissions Open Houses and Events, Commencement, Saint Andrew’s Day, Grandparents' Days, Summer Camp Talent Show, and other school events and ceremonies held on and off campus.
  • In coordination with Communications, provide archival videography/editing for school events as requested.
  • Maintain an organized schedule for each event from preparation to the conclusion of the event, manage the SAS Livestream YouTube page, and provide event link(s) to the appropriate department contact.
  • Oversees equipment and equipment maintenance.
  • Coordinate with the Chief Information Officer regarding equipment replacement for the budget cycle.
