About The Position
WURD Radio is Philadelphia's only Black-owned talk radio station and is seeking a driven, relationship-first sales professional to join their team. This role involves helping local and national brands connect with an engaged audience. The position offers the opportunity to sell a platform with purpose, a brand with loyal listeners, and a station that has been a part of Philadelphia's cultural conversation for decades. The ideal candidate will be energized by meaningful work and motivated by results.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years in media, agency, or corporate sales with proven results.
- Natural relationship builder who follows through and follows up.
- Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a team.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Based in or near Philadelphia.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Own new business development across radio, digital, and corporate sponsorships.
- Pitch, close, and build lasting client relationships that drive real revenue.
- Develop custom proposals.
- Present to decision-makers.
- Partner with programming and leadership teams to bring creative marketing solutions to life.
