About The Position

A Media Producer/Director II creates and oversees the production of a wide variety of multi-media programs for City agencies. Work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities. Incumbents receive general supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek subject to evenings and weekend work as required. Work is performed in a studio or on a production site where normal working conditions are encountered. Work requires minimum physical exertion.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Three years of experience in producing and directing multi-media programs and productions.
Valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver’s license or an equivalent out-of-state driver’s license acceptable to the Office of Risk Management.
Knowledge of radio and television production techniques and theories.
Knowledge of computerized video-editing systems.
Knowledge of current radio and television production equipment.
Knowledge multi-track audio recording and editing techniques.
Ability to write scripts.
Ability to establish effective working relationships with City agency personnel and officials.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
