About The Position

WMTV, the NBC affiliate and Gray Television-owned station serving south central Wisconsin, is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Media Executive to grow advertising revenue. The role develops new business and maintains existing client relationships, offering advertising and multimedia marketing solutions across NBC, CW, MeTV, streaming TV, and other digital platforms. The position works with local businesses across a variety of fields and coordinates with internal departments to support advertising campaigns and client accounts. WMTV is based in Madison, Wisconsin, and offers comprehensive training for new Media Executives.

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage time and resources effectively.
Problem-solving and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented approach, strong work ethic, and follow-through.
Understanding of core marketing principles.
Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving requirements.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop new business and deliver advertising results for clients.
Identify and present marketing solutions to local businesses across a variety of fields.
Prospect for new accounts, including making cold calls to arrange needs-analysis meetings and introduce the station’s programs and products.
Research accounts and the marketplace consistently.
Coordinate with Creative Services on commercial production, the Traffic department on advertising-copy traffic, and the Finance department on invoicing, discrepancies, and collection issues.
