About The Position

We are Shop Fix Academy, a business consulting company for Auto Repair Shops dedicated to setting owners up for success and empowering them with freedom and confidence. Our mission is to 'Fix the owner, fix the shop,' making a real difference in people's lives by leading, encouraging, and inspiring individuals to find their inner leader. We are seeking a creative, technically-minded individual with broad knowledge and a willingness to learn and grow. The ideal candidate will have a great attitude and be committed to making our conferences and content exceptional.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field highly preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience with Live Audio, Live Video, and Videography.
  • Required software experience: Adobe Premiere.
  • Basic use of Adobe Photoshop.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, or Apple Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of Zoom, OBS, or similar.
  • Possess an "all hands on deck" mentality and be willing to "get your hands dirty".
  • Must be a people person and enjoy building relationships.
  • Ability to make quick decisions in the best interest of the company.
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot, identify, and resolve problems.
  • Must be able to think quickly on their feet and be "on top" of things at all times.
  • Ability to work long hours / late nights during conferences.
  • Must be coachable and able to listen to and implement advice and constructive criticism.
  • Have a "go getter" attitude where actions speak louder than words.
  • Must enjoy having fun.

Nice To Haves

  • YouTube experience.
  • Experience with Adobe After Effects.
  • Experience with ProPresenter.

Responsibilities

  • Filming B-Roll and "talking head" style footage.
  • Editing video content using Premiere Pro.
  • Managing YouTube content.
  • Understanding audio signals, setup/teardown, and EQ'ing for live audio.
  • Running sound for events, primarily conferences.
  • Understanding frame rate and video signals for live video.
  • Managing live video setup/teardown, projection, and ProPresenter.
  • Handling lighting and troubleshooting live video issues.
  • Performing additional duties as necessary based on business needs.
