About The Position

As a member of our Media team, the Media & Brand Consultant will be responsible for the day-to-day activities required to manage the Corteva brand as well as helping promote, protect and shape the company’s reputation through various forms of media. We are looking for a communicator who thrives working in a fast, rapidly changing business landscape to support us on this journey.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Communications professional with 10+ years of experience supporting communications, media and/or marketing efforts in a corporate environment.
  • Brand management experience, including executing brand guidelines.
  • Media relations experience, including developing media stories.
  • Experience establishing relationships with business reporters; on-the-record spokesperson experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly adapt to changing needs; organized and efficient in completing tasks.
  • Ability to successfully navigate competing objectives and deadlines; drive results with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across various platforms, including websites, social media platforms, press releases and talking points.
  • Experience influencing and consulting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of core Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective collaborator who fosters innovative, creative thinking.
  • Strong adherence to deadlines, working well under time constraints.
  • Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with key reporters.
  • Build and strengthen public narratives in the media to support key desired business and policy outcomes.
  • Develop and deploy compelling media stories through appropriate outlets and spokespeople.
  • Convey scientific information in a relatable, impactful way; ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Proactively monitor and respond to issues and crisis, in collaboration with regional and global team members, to ensure coverage is balanced and accurate.
  • Lead proactive counsel with leaders, colleagues, and stakeholders on media relations guidance.
  • Train executives for media interactions.
  • Lead media monitoring of relevant issues.
  • Support social media strategy and content development.
  • Lead and support ad-hoc media projects and activities.
  • Manage brand guidelines across assets (presentations, social media, web, etc.); ensure guidelines are up-to-date and relevant.
  • Lead proactive counsel with leaders, stakeholders, and subject matter experts on proper implementation of brand guidelines for a wide range of activities and initiatives.
  • Collect stakeholder feedback and integrate into recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead project management activities for brand projects, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Administer and maintain brand training to ensure brand consistency and accuracy.
  • Lead and support ad-hoc brand projects and activities.
  • Oversee Brand Center: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including agencies, to ensure brand assets are loaded and managed appropriately, conduct usage audits to ensure ADA compliance and effective user experience.
