About The Position

As a Media Lounge Attendant, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences for media members covering Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors events. As a member of the Catering team, you will help create a welcoming, professional, and well-organized Media Lounge through attentive guest service, efficient food and beverage operations, and seamless event-day execution. From preparing the lounge before media members arrive to supporting service throughout the event, you will help ensure the space is ready, organized, and operating smoothly. This role combines guest service, food and beverage operations, and event-day coordination. You will welcome media members, support lounge access and meal voucher transactions, coordinate deliveries, and help maintain an environment that allows guests to focus on covering the event. The ideal candidate is positive, dependable, and highly organized, with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service. They thrive in fast-paced, high-energy environments, communicate confidently, and take pride in creating a professional and welcoming experience through thoughtful service and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • A passion for hospitality, guest service, and creating positive experiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to engage professionally with media members and other event-day guests.
  • A proactive, positive, and team-oriented approach with a willingness to support others and contribute wherever needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable handling guest transactions and completing basic administrative and inventory-related responsibilities accurately.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to respond thoughtfully to guest and operational needs.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Valid Smart Serve Certification is required.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in hospitality, catering, food and beverage, event services, or a related customer service environment is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, attentive, and professional service to media members throughout Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors events.
  • Create a welcoming and organized Media Lounge environment through positive and professional guest interactions.
  • Prepare the Media Lounge for food and beverage service prior to each event, ensuring the space is clean, organized, stocked, and ready for guest arrival.
  • Welcome media members, support the sign-in process, and accurately process payments for media meal vouchers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional lounge environment throughout the event.
  • Coordinate event-day deliveries accurately and efficiently to support smooth lounge operations.
  • Respond to guest questions and requests with professionalism and a solution-oriented approach, escalating special requests to Catering Management when required.
  • Complete post-event inventory and product requisitions to ensure appropriate stock levels for upcoming events.
  • Work collaboratively with Catering colleagues and event-day partners to support seamless Media Lounge operations.
  • Represent MLSE with professionalism, warmth, and authenticity when interacting with media members, colleagues, and leaders.
  • Adhere to all MLSE service standards, policies, health and safety procedures, and applicable workplace regulations.
  • Support additional service, administrative, and event-day responsibilities as required.
