About The Position
Face to Face Games is looking for a Media Assistant to help capture and share the energy of our upcoming Tour Weekend in Ottawa. This is a paid, freelance contract role for the event weekend — ideal for someone who enjoys live events, trading card games, and creating fast, engaging content.
Requirements
- Comfortable shooting on phone or camera
- Basic editing skills
- Good sense of timing - you won’t miss the moment
- Reliable, organized, and able to move quickly in a busy event
- Comfortable being on your feet and moving around the venue
- Interest in Magic: The Gathering
- Friday and Full weekend availability required
Nice To Haves
- Experience covering live events
- Social media content portfolio
- Familiarity with tournament play / TCG culture
Responsibilities
- Capture photo + video content throughout the event
- Film matches, crowd moments, and highlight plays
- Create quick-turn social media posts (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
- Assist with live coverage and behind-the-scenes content
- Coordinate with the team on key moments to capture
