About The Position

W+K is looking for an Media & Analytics Resident to help the team measure/analyze marketing impact and use those findings to strategically influence advertising strategy and solve client business problems. We're looking for an individual who’s eager and has a suitable background to turn numbers into insight, and insight into inspirational stories. We’re looking for an individual who has a general in-going understanding of the media/marketing landscape as well as some of the tools and technologies available in the data + analytics arsenal. But most importantly, we’re looking for someone who’s hungry, eager, and excited to be a part of a growing team and impact major brands and pieces of business! Analytics at W+K sits within the Media department. We’re a small and fast-growing group of marketing analysts, researchers, data scientists, and engineers who are all client-facing and work strategically across multiple agency internal teams and accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with a focus on advertising, media or analytics
  • Ready to work cross-functionally with teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn new technologies, platforms, and systems very quickly
  • General understanding of both online and offline (TV, Print etc.) marketing
  • Numerically-driven, but yearns to impact culture in creative and strategic ways

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant media internships or non-course work
  • General understanding of: BI Dashboards (Tableau, Power BI etc.)
  • Languages to connect to data: SQL
  • Python
  • Stats, regression analysis, data modeling etc.
  • Familiarity with syndicated research and data (GWI, MRI, competitive platforms)
  • Experience working with data-minded people (statisticians, data scientists etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Researches and compiles competitive data analysis and insights to get a sense of where the competitors are advertising and how much they are spending
  • Works with Media Planner in developing agency point of views on media platforms and channels to submit to clients
  • Keeps current with market and audience research (industry periodicals, newsletters, websites)
  • Works on other miscellaneous projects as assigned
  • Develop strategies to track and measure media/advertising in market
  • Develop measurement plans and KPI frameworks to determine campaign success using historical data and industry benchmarks
  • Create presentations to share findings internally and with clients
  • Facilitate measurement tools and analytics partnerships (Location-tracking partners, offline conversion partners, research tools, DMPs etc.)
  • Maintain, QA, and develop client-facing advertising dashboards
  • Works with Media Planner in the preparation, development, execution and monitoring of media plans; helps create and maintain flowcharts/plans
  • Manages executional details across self serve and performance media formats including social media, programmatic display, Video/OTT & Search
  • Works with media planner to manage client budget records
  • Works with Media Planner and Media Supervisor to set-up and manage campaigns within self-serve environments.
  • Checks invoices and resolves invoice/buy discrepancies
  • Conducts make-good negotiations with publications in case of errors
  • Conducts in-flight optimizations, campaign reporting and pacing reports
