About The Position
Messiah Lifeways is seeking full-time Med Techs for its Enhanced Living (Personal Care) team at Messiah Home in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The Enhanced Living Med Tech/Nursing Assistant provides essential support to residents and assists with medication administration and treatments in accordance with Department of Human Services Personal Care Home regulations. The role supports residents in maintaining as much independence as possible. Duties include assisting with personal hygiene and transfers, helping with treatments and therapies, ensuring residents take their medications, and serving as a role model for Nursing Assistants. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Successful completion of certification from the Department of Human Services Medication Administration Course.
- Provide appropriate documentation for Med Tech certification, including a summary and qualification form, review of non-oral medication documentation, and observation documentation. Observation documentation must cover at least six months if coming from another community.
- Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- One year of Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Assistant (PCA) experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide essential support to Enhanced Living residents.
- Assist with medication administration and treatments in accordance with Department of Human Services Personal Care Home regulations.
- Encourage and support residents to be as independent as possible.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene and transfers as needed.
- Assist residents with treatments and therapies.
- Ensure residents take their medications.
- Serve as a role model for Nursing Assistants.
