Personal Care: Med Tech - Sign On Bonus Available!
About The Position
Messiah Lifeways is seeking a part-time Enhanced Living Med Tech/Nursing Assistant to support residents in its Personal Care community in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The role provides essential resident support and assists with medication administration and treatments in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Personal Care Home regulations. The position pays $18.00–$21.85 per hour, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus is available to those who qualify. The Med Tech/Nursing Assistant encourages residents to remain as independent as possible, assists with personal hygiene and transfers, supports treatments and therapies, and ensures residents take their medications. The role also serves as a role model for Nursing Assistants. Candidates must be willing to work rotating weekends and holidays. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Successful completion of the Department of Human Services Medication Administration Course certification.
- Provide appropriate documentation for Med Tech certification, including a summary and qualification form, review of non-oral medication documentation, and observation documentation (at least six months' worth if coming from another community).
- Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- One year of Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Assistant (PCA) experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide essential support to Enhanced Living residents.
- Assist with medication administration and treatments in accordance with Department of Human Services Personal Care Home regulations.
- Encourage and support residents to be as independent as possible.
- Assist residents with personal hygiene.
- Transfer residents as needed.
- Assist with treatments and therapies.
- Ensure residents take their medications.
