About The Position
The Med Tech provides warm, engaging personal care services, assistance, support, and companionship to residents in a memory care setting. The role includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, noticing changes in their day or personal care needs, and working with the nurse to update each resident’s care plan. The Med Tech also encourages residents to participate in community programs and activities.
Requirements
- Positive attitude and enjoyment of working with people.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified as a Medication Aide in New Jersey, or as a Medication Technician in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, or Rhode Island.
Responsibilities
- Provide warm and engaging personal care services, assistance, support, and companionship.
- Engage and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Notice changes in residents’ day and personal care needs and work with the nurse to update their Resident Care Plan.
- Encourage resident participation in community programs and activities.
