About The Position

Bridgeway Park Battle Creek Senior Living Community is under new management and is actively looking to expand its team with dedicated and compassionate professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors, especially those with dementia. The community is seeking individuals with dementia caregiving experience to provide the highest quality of specialized care to residents with cognitive challenges. The role offers a supportive and dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Requirements

3 years of experience
Able to pass a criminal background check.
High school diploma or GED.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
Assisting other team members with their duties.
Complete all required documents and charting.
Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
