About The Position

Spring Gardens Assisted Living is hiring a Med Tech for a full-time NOC shift role at its Draper, Utah community. The position provides resident care and medication assistance in accordance with each resident’s service plan, preferences, and abilities. The role requires weekend availability and state-required medication certification, training, and competency completion.

Requirements

Hold state-required medication-pass certification or other required certification; complete state-required delegation and/or training requirements; and successfully complete medication-pass competency.
Have word-processing skills.
Have current CPR certification, First Aid training, and a Food Handlers permit as required by state regulations.
Complete all state-required training as necessary.
Have a high school diploma or GED, or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.
Be available to work weekends.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing, coordinating, and performing tasks on resident service plans according to residents’ preferences and abilities.
Maintain and document the Medication Assistance Record.
Read and implement care and activities of daily living (ADLs) according to resident service plans.
Respond promptly to resident needs, pendant calls, and other community alarms.
Demonstrate empathy and develop caring rapport with residents.
Promote resident independence and self-care.
Deliver care and services in accordance with individual service plans for assigned residents.
Maintain accurate and complete records of care delivered.
Complete incident reports accurately and on time.
Follow safety and infection-control policies and practices to help control the spread of communicable illnesses.
Promote a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
Assist housekeeping and maintenance staff in keeping the community and resident property clean.
Recognize, respond to, and report concerns in residents’ environments to support their safety and comfort.
