About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Med Tech in Memory Care at Avamere Sherwood. The role involves providing care for residents, administering medications, and assisting with daily living activities. The position operates on a swing shift schedule from 2-10 pm, Monday through Thursday. A perfect attendance bonus is offered for full-time employees.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
High-School diploma or equivalent
Must have medication administration experience in assisted living and/or memory care-6 months to 1 year, preferred
Must have or obtain First Aid & CPR Certification within 30 days of employment
Must have or obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment

Nice To Haves

HCA or CNA license preferred
CMA certification preferred
Knowledge and experience caring for and interacting with elders

Responsibilities

Care for residents and assist in updating each resident’s service plan
Administer medications ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the DHS and according to current policies, procedures, and practices
Provide care for residents and assist with updating service plans.
Respond to resident calls and emergencies promptly and provide first aid assistance
Assist with daily living activities (i.e., bathing, dressing, and eating)
Provide support with residents to caregivers as needed
Document and communicate resident changes and complete all reports in a timely manner
Maintain confidentiality of all resident care in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
