About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible to the licensed nurse, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager and/or Nursing Supervisor. The Certified Nursing Assistant assists the licensed nurse in the direct care of patients, performs non-invasive procedures which do not require sterile technique, and performs routine unit maintenance as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support card.
  • Well-groomed and demonstrates appropriate, professional conduct.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
  • Aide certification as determined by the laws of the State of Oregon.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate therapeutically.
  • Possess the ability to provide care for the patients’ age-specific, cultural, physical and psychosocial well-being.
