About The Position

Latitude Subrogation Services (LSS) is seeking a Remote Med-Pay/PIP Subrogation Specialist to join their growing, people-first culture. LSS is a leader in subrogation outsourcing, providing comprehensive recovery solutions since 1997. The specialist will be responsible for the complete subrogation process, including investigation, negotiation, and settlement of medical claims with subrogation potential. This role requires the ability to navigate proprietary databases, process and resolve claims, and handle files of moderate to high complexity. Strong documentation skills are essential, as is technical proficiency in multiple computer systems and basic programs like Outlook, Word, and Excel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent time management and self-discipline for remote work, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and keen attention to detail. Strong customer service, communication, conflict management, and teamwork skills are also crucial.

Requirements

  • Ability through experience and education to appropriately handle medical subrogation files of moderate to high complexity.
  • Ability to work in multiple computer systems efficiently and understand basic computer programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work remotely with excellent time management, self-discipline, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and clarity of all documents.
  • Proven communication skills with a strong phone presence in extensive communication.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the complete subrogation process of investigation, negotiation, and settlement of medical claims that have been identified to have subrogation potential as assigned.
  • Navigates through our proprietary database and electronic documents to process and resolve claims with subrogation potential.
  • Prioritize and appropriately document all activities for recovery.
  • Document files including all conversations with all parties related to the claim, in-coming and out-going correspondence, current file updates, subrogation analysis, file resolution recommendations, applicable state negligence laws and statutes.
  • Ability to work in multiple computer systems efficiently and understand basic computer programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
