About The Position

Inova Mount Vernon Hospitalist Division is seeking dedicated Full-Time / Part-Time / PRN providers. Inova Mount Vernon is located 13 miles from Washington, D.C. and 6 miles from Old Town, Alexandria. Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine degree or Doctor of Osteopathic degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
• Successful completion of an ACGME Physician Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency Program.
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia and Virginia DEA.
• Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors.
• Ability to be enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor.
• Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services.

Nice To Haves

• One year experience in hospital medicine.
• Successful completion of an ACGME Physician Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct hands-on care to patients within the limits of credentials granted by the Medical Staff of Inova in recognition of advanced training and experience in this field.
• Adhere to patient care and admission criteria policies and procedures of the Department of Medicine.
