Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II for their Endocrinology Specialists practice in Bordentown, NJ. This role involves preparing patients for examinations, performing preliminary physical tests, taking vital signs, and recording patient history. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for obtaining lab specimens, cleaning exam rooms, and assisting physicians and other staff as needed. Key duties include selecting appropriate equipment, verifying specimen orders, preparing exam rooms, maintaining supply levels, and performing clerical tasks such as patient registration, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records. The position also involves performing electrocardiograms and point-of-care testing, documenting medical information in electronic health records, and coordinating with front office and ancillary staff. The role may also include assisting with front office functions like check-in/check-out, claim creation, and patient education. The Medical Assistant will perform selected clinical and clerical duties under the direction of a provider and manager, adhering to Capital Health policies and state laws. Cross-training for Patient Reception Rep duties may be required. Specific responsibilities include NJPMP monitoring and performing injections. This is a full-time, day shift position.
