Capital Health is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant II for their OB/GYN practice in Bordentown. This is a full-time, day shift position. The Medical Assistant II will be responsible for preparing patients for examinations, performing preliminary physical tests, taking vital signs, and documenting patient history. They will also be responsible for maintaining exam rooms, obtaining lab specimens, and assisting physicians and staff as needed. Clerical duties such as patient registration, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining medical records are also part of the role. The position involves performing electrocardiograms and other relevant tests, including point-of-care testing. Documentation in electronic medical records, including medication information and patient call documentation, is essential. The role requires coordination with front office and ancillary staff, and may involve assisting with front office functions like checkout/in duties, claim creation, and ensuring complete discharge paperwork. The Medical Assistant II will perform other selected clinical and clerical duties under the direction of a provider and manager, adhering to Capital Health policies and state laws. Cross-training for Patient Reception Rep duties may be required. Specific duties include performing NJPMP monitoring and administering injections (subcutaneous or intramuscular).
