Mechatronics Systems Engineer
About The Position
In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise. Mechatronics systems design engineers are part of a multidisciplinary team that develops metrology equipment used in the semiconductor industry to enable our customers to solve very challenging requirements. Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal. Work independently on data collection, analysis, calibration, and writing scripts using Python or Matlab. Perform hands-on work with hardware and gather the necessary data in the lab or the cleanroom. Define plans for system integration, testing, and troubleshooting. Strong experience in requirements definition, precision motion system design, motor and air-bearing development, CFD-based thermal/flow analysis, and experimental validation of complex mechatronic systems. Knowledge of numerical optimization and image processing is a plus. Strong experience with experimental design and hardware-in-the-loop experimentation to retire design risks. Ability to translate customer and system requirements into test plans, engineering models, and robust hardware designs. Some travel to customer sites < 10%.
Requirements
- Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 1+ years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 4 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
- Strong experience in requirements definition, precision motion system design, motor and air-bearing development, CFD-based thermal/flow analysis, and experimental validation of complex mechatronic systems.
- Strong experience with experimental design and hardware-in-the-loop experimentation to retire design risks.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of numerical optimization and image processing is a plus.
