About The Position

KLA is seeking Mechatronics Interns for Summer 2027 at its Ann Arbor, Michigan location. Interns will collaborate with engineering teams to enhance the performance and capabilities of KLA’s inspection and metrology tools. The work involves contributing to projects focused on designing and developing hardware and/or software systems to evaluate mechatronics performance, while working alongside other interns and engineers on a focused component of a larger initiative. Commonly used tools include Python, CAD, and FEA.

Requirements

Less than 1 year of related experience.
Strong analytical skills.
Academic or hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: CAD design, control systems, finite element analysis, Python scripting, or data acquisition and visualization.

Nice To Haves

Experience or interest in hardware design.
Plans to return to graduate school in Fall 2027 to complete a master’s degree.

Responsibilities
