About The Position

KLA is seeking Mechatronics Interns for Summer 2027 at our Ann Arbor, Michigan location. This internship offers the opportunity to collaborate with engineering teams to enhance the performance and capabilities of KLA’s inspection and metrology tools. Interns will contribute to projects involving the design and development of hardware and/or software systems to evaluate mechatronics performance. You’ll work alongside other interns and engineers on a focused component of a larger initiative. Commonly used tools include python, CAD, and FEA.

Requirements

Requires less than 1 year of related experience
Strong analytical skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

Academic or hands-on experience in CAD design
Academic or hands-on experience in Control systems
Academic or hands-on experience in Finite element analysis
Academic or hands-on experience in python scripting
Academic or hands-on experience in Data acquisition/visualization
Experience or interest in hardware design is a plus.
Candidates who plan to return to graduate school in Fall 2027 to complete a master’s degree.
