This position is within Ford's Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team, which is focused on delivering the company's vision for an all-electric transportation future. The EVDD team is customer-obsessed, entrepreneurial, and data-driven, aiming to provide an industry-leading customer experience for electric vehicle buyers and owners. The role involves joining an agile team that is pioneering the EV future through collaboration, focus, and excellence, contributing to building a better world where everyone is free to move and pursue their dreams. In this role, you will be part of a new team responsible for executing cross-domain Mechatronics Subsystem integration across all vehicle programs. Your primary focus will be to bridge the gap between Electronics, Mechanical Hardware (VHE), Features, Controls & Software (CVS), and other departments, serving as the central integration lead to ensure seamless physical-to-electrical execution. While the Mechatronics Core Team develops enterprise standards, mathematical models, and templates, this role will concentrate on owning specific mechatronic subsystems, such as fuel systems, and influencing feature intent before component design commences. The team will manage the physical-to-electrical transfer functions, ensuring that system performance aligns with subsystem requirements, including the physical constraints of mechanical hardware like torque, thermal limits, and kinematics.
