About The Position

We are seeking a Mechanical Training Developer to create technical training materials for industrial environments. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals and the ability to translate complex concepts into practical training for field personnel. The ideal candidate will have experience developing various training formats and collaborating with subject matter experts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience developing technical training materials in an industrial, energy, manufacturing, military, or maintenance environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals, rotating equipment, pump systems, compressors, piping systems, valves, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience developing Instructor-Led Training (ILT), structured OJT programs, hands-on training materials, or technical procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with frontline employees and technical SMEs.
  • Ability to simplify complex mechanical concepts into practical training materials for field personnel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, Refining, Pipeline, or Industrial Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting maintenance or operations training programs.
  • Knowledge of the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) process.
  • Experience with competency-based training programs and field operations training.
  • Military mechanical maintenance or operations experience strongly preferred.
  • Navy MM (Machinist's Mate) or other military mechanical/maintenance training backgrounds are a plus.
