The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs. The Ground Systems Support (GSS) organization is looking for Mechanical Technician for the Launch Equipment Shop (LES) who supports multiple programs for National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA). The candidate will provide troubleshooting and repair for manufacturing and CNC machining equipment, Daily checks and maintenance of machine shop equipment, tear down and assembly of parts and equipment at the LES. A background in maintenance and repair of manufacturing and fabrication is highly desirable. THIS IS A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT REPRESENTED POSITION
