About The Position

GE Vernova is seeking a Mechanical Technician to build and drive mechanisms and breakers according to blueprints and wiring diagrams. The role supports Grid Solutions, which provides equipment, systems, and services that deliver power reliably and efficiently from generation to end consumers.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Unpack and inspect parts for proper functioning and completeness.
• Assemble breakers to standard drawings and customer specifications, prepare breakers for shipment, or clean and prepare tanks and sub-assemblies for downstream assembly.
• Discuss errors in diagrams or production orders with a supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
• Perform assembly functions in accordance with Quality Control Procedures to ensure output meets quality control and customer standards.
• Inspect completed work to ensure each breaker is properly assembled, vacuumed, pre-filled, and ready for testing and shipment.
• Document work performed using the appropriate forms, including labor and QCR forms.
• Clean the work area at the end of the shift.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
