About The Position

The Mechanical Technician, Mesquite Gathering System performs complex mechanical functions and duties including inspecting, checking, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing mechanical equipment to maintain safe and reliable equipment performance. The Mechanical Technician possesses a high level of skill and is qualified to direct others, lead projects, perform the most complex troubleshooting, and repair tasks. They mentor and train employees and may oversee contractors. This position will be based out of Bradley, OK and is responsible for maintaining assets across the Mesquite gathering system. This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must maintain a Valid Driver’s License
  • 1 or more years of maintenance experience in the oil & gas industry
  • Currently live, or willing to relocate if selected, within 35 miles of Bradley, OK
  • Willing and able to perform/comply with the following, with or without reasonable accommodation: Work extended hours which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays AND be available for callout
  • Work either inside or outside in conditions that may include heat, humidity, or other inclement weather.
  • Climb various stairs and ladders, including A-frame
  • Frequently lift and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Push/pull forces up to 130 pounds
  • Regularly walk, stand, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch for durations of up to 3 minutes
  • Wear personal protective equipment, such as flame-retardant clothing, eye protection, ear protection, steel-toed boots, hard hat, etc.
  • Safely work around various types of rotating or moving equipment

Nice To Haves

  • 3 or more years of experience in oil and gas operations specializing in mechanical maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis of recurring issues/failures on reciprocating engines, compressors, pumps, and associated components
  • Lead or perform overhaul of compressors and engines/engine swings, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing, and startup
  • Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control over 3rd Party contractors performing major maintenance
  • Provide informal leadership and guidance in support of Maintenance Work Process excellence
  • Maintain and repair engines, compressors, and associated components, such as compressor valves, spark plugs, cooling and lubrication systems (auxiliary)
  • Maintain and repair pumps and associated components, such as amine, glycol, condensate, NGL, etc.
  • Maintain and repair other mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, manual valve actuators, etc.
  • Maintain and repair fixed equipment such as filters (all types), strainers, dehydration systems, etc.
  • Participate in and successfully complete training programs, risk management reviews, and safety meetings
  • Review and follow procedures as necessary to ensure compliance with all company and industry standards
  • Accurately complete documentation such as timesheets, Maximo work orders, safe job plans/work permits, and regulatory reports
  • Optimize work in the most effective manner (efficient and leveraging priority), in alignment with the Maintenance Work Process and within the tenets of S.A.F.E. and Stop Work Authority
  • Maintain facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices
  • Respond to operational emergencies as a member of an emergency response team
  • Perform and accurately document regulatory required inspections
  • Oversee contractors providing specialty services (Quality Assurance, Quality Control)
