About The Position

The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the assembly of pumps, motors, protectors, gas separators, downhole monitoring tools (DMT), pressure-sensitive instruments (PSI), Surveyor equipment, shafts, and related downhole equipment. The role requires hands-on mechanical assembly experience and the ability to work from blueprints and assembly specifications.

Responsibilities

• Clean, oil, and prepare components for assembly.
• Perform mechanical sub-assembly and final assembly at designated workstations.
• Assemble new equipment according to blueprints, engineering specifications, and work instructions.
• Use appropriate hand tools and torquing equipment to complete assemblies.
• Inspect assembled components for proper fit, alignment, and workmanship.
• Load completed units and transport equipment to the testing or lockplate/paint shop areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
