About The Position

BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician V to join their fast-paced Engineering and Test team in Nashua, New Hampshire. You will be supporting a wide variety of tasks in the day-to-day operation within a Engineering Lab. Requirements

  • 15+ years experience with HS Diploma
  • 5+ year with AA in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent
  • Proficient using CREO/Pro- Engineer software
  • Proficient with multi axis CNC milling machines and lathes
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Familiarity with machine shop environment
  • Experience in the design and development of specialized tooling and fixtures
  • The ability to obtain a DoD Security clearance is required

Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications to fabricate, assemble, and test mechanical equipment and systems
  • Read and understand written and verbal instructions from engineers, supervisors, and other stakeholders
  • Use various tools and equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, and drill presses, to fabricate and assemble mechanical components
  • Conduct tests and inspections to ensure that equipment and systems meet specifications and are functioning properly
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and systems as needed
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including test results and maintenance activities
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
