The Mechanical Technician (Millwright) executes preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance tasks on machinery, CNC equipment, and facilities, adhering to written or verbal instructions. This role also involves calibrating select equipment using approved standards and procedures and participating in the troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical equipment. FTAI Aviation is seeking candidates interested in evening or weekend shift opportunities, which offer consistency and added flexibility during the week.

Requirements

  • Shall respect all safety and health regulations in place at FTAI Aviation
  • Has completed recognized training or have equivalent experience in the trade, at least 5 years of industrial experience
  • Shall be able to troubleshoot and repair production equipment and utilities
  • Shall respect assigned deadlines and due dates
  • Is capable and competent to perform all work of the trade in accordance with approved standards and documented instructions
  • Is able to use appropriate tools, methods, techniques and equipment necessary to perform variety of maintenance and select calibration tasks
  • Possesses sufficient knowledge of materials, specification and blueprint reading to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Shall create detailed records of executed tasks in manual or electronic form
  • Intermediate level knowledge of English is necessary for aeronautical personnel to meet regulatory requirements, understand technical procedures and instructions, and document entries regarding work performed on the aeronautical product for customers outside Quebec
