About The Position

This role is responsible for calibrating a variety of test instruments across different skill areas including Electrical, Industrial, and Temperature Equipment. The technician will also perform standards maintenance and checking if assigned by the Lab Manager. Key duties include collecting and recording calibration data, completing calibration certifications, and adhering to safety and quality standards. The position involves continuous learning within the calibration industry and sharing knowledge with team members. Effective communication with customers and coworkers is essential.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License
Basic mathematics understanding
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in MS Word and Excel
Ability to work both independently and under the supervision of Senior Technicians
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance

Nice To Haves

Basic Knowledge of Mechanical and Dimensional equipment preferred
Experience in basic instrumentation and manual tools preferred
Applicants new to the calibration industry who are eager to learn

Responsibilities

Calibrating a variety of test instruments for electrical, industrial, and temperature equipment.
Performing standards maintenance and checking of company standards if assigned by Lab Manager.
Collecting calibration data and recording information on data sheets.
Completing calibration certifications, including out of tolerance conditions.
Continuing to be trained in all aspects of Micro Precision Calibration Services and sharing gained knowledge and other best practices with other team members.
Observing safety precautions and quality standards in the performance of tasks and complying with the company.
Clearly communicating calibration issues and procedures with customers and coworkers on the phone, in person and through email.
