About The Position

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for an experienced Mechanical Technician IV to support manufacturing capacity expansion projects, equipment installations, line startups, and mechanical system optimization. This role will lead equipment installation, debugging, troubleshooting, and operational readiness activities while partnering with engineering, operations, vendors, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience supporting equipment installations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Expertise in Hydraulics
  • Expertise in Pneumatics
  • Expertise in Bearings
  • Expertise in Gear systems
  • Expertise in Conveyor systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety practices and regulations.
  • Experience using CMMS systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead equipment installation, startup, and debugging activities for manufacturing capacity expansion projects.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment.
  • Design and implement mechanical improvements to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Analyze mechanical failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Align, test, calibrate, and validate mechanical systems after installation.
  • Develop and maintain engineering, maintenance, and operational documentation.
  • Manage spare parts identification and recommendations.
  • Support operations training related to equipment and process changes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, suppliers, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
