About The Position

The Mechanical Technician III will perform complex assemblies based on engineering drawings and will manage full chamber builds. They will construct parts and components to create EUV Tech tools according to established instructions and specifications. The Mechanical Technician III will perform assembly procedures to promote production of quality products and will monitor the functioning of equipment, reporting any substandard condition. The Mechanical Technician III manages deliverables and timelines, providing direction to Technicians I and II. They maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure compliance with the company's safety policies. Adherence to all procedures relating to materials, quality, assembly and testing, as well as all general assembly and company procedures is essential. The Mechanical Technician III plays a crucial role in maintaining EUV Tech’s production standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Mechanical or Engineering Technician
  • Experience working in a clean room environment within the semiconductor field
  • Ultra-high vacuum assembly and testing expertise
  • Experience with precision calibrated tools (e.g. CMM or oscilloscope) for troubleshooting of complex vacuum equipment and modules
  • Log and report writing to describe work and maintenance
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate hand tools

  • Precision machining skills
  • Experience using Jira and other Atlassian software products
  • Experience working with Swagelock and high purity welded systems
  • CAD proficiency
  • Proficiency with various types of welding
  • Experience handling inert and reactive gases/solvents
  • Mechanical and Electrical precision assembly
  • Experience with manufacturing processes
  • Lifting and rigging experience

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, align, adjust and fit subassemblies and parts or auxiliary equipment using appropriate tools and equipment as per work instructions
  • Perform full chamber builds
  • Follow work instructions, including production drawings, photos, notes and verbal directions
  • Perform product assembly operations on complex components, assemblies or sub-assemblies
  • Follow methods and sequence of operations in performing unpacking, component preparation, component installation and assembly of units
  • Work with engineering and other production staff regarding assembly of products
  • Use diagnostic test equipment and precision measuring devices in the course of the work; may fabricate new testing equipment as required for use on new components and systems
  • Read and interpret diagrams, engineering drawings, manuals, schematics and work orders
  • Perform diagnostics on ultra high vacuum systems
  • Adhere to project timelines and manage deliverables
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other Technicians
  • Other duties as assigned.
